A journey into the Buenos Aires night, where music, poetry and dance
tell a story of the strength, fragility and beauty of the women of tango.
Through the sounds of guitars, violin, voice and poetry, the lives of some of the women who shaped the history of Argentina and the collective imagination of tango come to life. Real and legendary figures whose bodies, voices and memories have left an enduring mark on history.
A performance where tango, theatre and live music intertwine in a sensual and deeply moving narrative, where woman becomes fragrance, breath and heartbeat. A tribute to her dance, her struggle and her light.
On stage, the Tango Loco Ensemble gives voice to the soul of tango:
Eugenio Polacchini and Matteo Minozzi, guitars,
Leonardo Bellesini, violin,
Claudia Franciosi, vocals.
The spoken word comes alive through the voice of Buenos Aires poet
Francisco Papa,
who performs his original poetry in Spanish, bringing the authentic spirit of his homeland to the stage.
Bringing the stories of tango’s women to life are dancers
Giulio Mazzaroppi and Lisa Vinichenko,
joined by the ensemble of actors and dancers from ART & TANGO Academy,
transforming the stage into a living, vibrant and ritual space.
Written and directed by Cinzia Flautini.
