Katia Retta discovers tango through music, and it is through music that she finds her own way of experiencing and expressing it on the dance floor.

Her musical approach is a journey of energy, emotion and attentive listening. She builds each tanda with the aim of creating a flow that carries the dance floor, moving between intense, profound moments and more lively, explosive ones, always responding to what is happening in the milonga.

For Katia, every night is a different encounter. She listens to the place, the people, the dancers and the way they experience the dance, allowing herself to be guided by the floor in an ongoing dialogue. Because music should not simply be a backdrop, but an essential part of the dance — something that can move people, draw them in and create that special connection that makes tango so irresistible.

Her wish is to create a milonga where people can feel good, have fun and let themselves be carried away by the music, until they fall in love with tango all over again.
